Here's our sweet girl proudly displaying her ribbon. She had several, but they kept falling off. (I think they all got one for each race they finished) She was very proud and then promptly wanted me to remove it. She was ready to go home at this point.
The egg race
The hoop race (Flo is to the right)Kaitlyn's Sports Day
Kaitlyn's Sports day was very different from Samantha's. Her day was also 3 hours long, but all the kids, years 3-6, were split into 15 teams. Then 15 stations focusing on specific skills were set up and the teams rotated. So at each station, everyone participated. The teams scored a point for each time a team member completed the task.
Pretty self explanatory---yet I haven't seen a goal here that had a backboard. Makes things considerably harder.
They had to skip rope a certain distance and return. Many of the younger kids spent more time getting untangled than they actually spent skipping rope. :)
25 meters down, touch the line, 25 meters back. Exhausting--they each did it 4-5 times.
You can tell by the picture what's going on, I just don't know what to call it. Kaitlyn did pretty well with this due to her height advantage. Most of the other kids had an extremely hard time doing this because their legs barely fit around the ball. This one was not well thought out--they needed a significantly smaller ball for most of the kids.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the pics. I'm going to sign out and head to bed. We love you all and will see you soon....real soon :)
