Friends

Well, the Lord has been faithful and has provided me with an immediate friend to help me with most any need I have.  On the girls' first day of school, another mom from the US (D.C.) came and found me on the playground when I came to pick up Samantha.  She has a daughter in Samantha's class and a son in Kaitlyn's class.  She invited us over the next day for lunch and swimming following school.  She's involved with most everything at the school from the PTA, to the school store, to substitute teaching. That, along with having children in both of the girls' classes, means she can answer just about every question I've had about school.  

She and her family moved here last January so the move is still fresh AND she knows where I can get all the things I need to get.  She's a very valuable source of information and has already offered to pick the girls up and keep them for me when we thought we'd be late with the driver's licenses.  She had us over for lunch and swimming again today and we had a great time.  Samantha and her friend played well in the pool and then moved on to dress up when they were too cold to swim anymore.  Kailtyn and her classmate had a great time racing and swimming.  After about an hour, 3 more boys from their school came over to swim and play.  We had to pry both girls out of there.  Kaitlyn was begging to stay for dinner and was not pleased to head out.  We were invited to stay for dinner, but I didn't want to wear out our welcome so we headed on home.  

Our new friends have offered to take me to the local Farmers market next week and to see a local carpenter and seamstress for any of those needs I may have (frames for mosquito nets, temp. furniture, mosquito nets, curtains, etc.)  I am so thankful for this wonderful, understanding friend.  I appreciate all your prayers--I definately feel them and see their fruit each day.  Please keep them coming.
